"The oak we use is of the highest quality and any complementary building materials, including specialist handmade bricks and tiles, are hand picked to ensure standards are kept consistently high."

Introduction

Founded over 35 years ago, Paddock Homes is one of the most well-established leading building and specialist joinery establishments in Sussex.

Located in the village of Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex, Paddock Homes Sussex Ltd has built up an extensive and loyal customer base offering a unique service by providing a comprehensive building construction service working in conjunction with Paddock Homes Joinery Ltd. Working side by side together is what sets Paddock Homes apart from our competitors. As sister companies there is a unique relationship of trust and commitment - complementing one another through all stages of production and working together to achieve the optimum end result.

Whether it is solely joinery products required or the need for general building services or a combination of the two, our customers can expect work of the highest quality with a dedicated and experienced team who skilfully combine the use of modern techniques and materials along with traditional craftsmanship and creativity.

Paddock Homes has the expertise to take on a wide variety of projects including: works to listed buildings, new buildings, extensions, garden rooms, garages, loft conversions, groundworks, oak framed buildings, barn conversions, restoration and re-decoration.

Managing Director, Adrian Gander, is now the fourth generation from both sides of the family to carry on the tradition of building and has been heading the company for 16 years. After graduating in 1990 with a BEng Hons Degree in Civil Engineering, Adrian had the opportunity to absorb an incredible depth of knowledge from previous generations learning about all aspects of the business. He has successfully combined this knowledge with his natural artistic flair and vision and has achieved outstanding results in any project that has been undertaken. He prides himself in taking every project to another level, always happy with his work, but never forgetting that there are new challenges and greater work to be done.

In 1997 Adrian left his father, Frank Gander, to concentrate in the joinery workshop and became Managing Director of Paddock Homes Sussex Ltd, where he has established a solid reputation for his high standard of workmanship. The company constantly evolves by adopting a dynamic, forward-thinking, solutions approach, with Adrian overseeing all projects to the last detail. Adrian has complete confidence in his loyal team and will never settle for second best.

The company prides itself on their reputation which has been achieved through word of mouth recommendation rather than extensive marketing and advertising campaigns. Any commission undertaken is carefully planned to ensure that every aspect is taken into account.

"I never let my team forget that we are in someone's house, on someone's time and with someone's family. Most people actually miss us when we're gone. The finished article is our job - the clients we meet are deemed as friends."

Adrian heads up the experienced team to ensure that his reputation is never in question and that every client receives a first class job. Where necessary, work is sub-contracted out to other specialist firms, all of which have a long standing working relationship with Paddock Homes and produce work of an equally high standard.

"I learn new skills with every job and client - attention to detail and meeting our clients aspirations remain my priority, but the most important thing to me is to improve and never stop improving."
